Activity: Lane Closures

Reason: Road construction will reduce traffic to one lane at times on the following Burlington streets: South Prospect from Maple to Ledge Drive, Jackson Court, Harrington Terrace, Main Street from Battery to St. Paul, Pine Street from Maple to Bank, Pine Street from Pearl to Cherry, St. Paul from Bank Street to College, St. Paul from Pearl to Cherry, George Street, Peru Street, Loomis Street from North Prospect to North Willard

Activity: 

Reason: Work on Holy Cross Road will continue until mid-October. Traffic control will be present when required.

Activity: 

Reason: Motorists should be alert for bridge washing and mowing along all county roads. Minor traffic delays should be expected.

Activity: 

Reason: Sidewalk construction on Route 15 eastbound between Sunset Drive to the Price Chopper Plaza entrance will cause lane closures and occasional traffic delays. Traffic control is present, and this project should be completed by September 1.

Activity: 

Reason: Work on Pearl Street between the main gate of the fairgrounds and the intersection with the Post Office will last through November 1. Most of the work will be between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with occasional night work possible. Two way traffic will be maintained at all times with traffic control present.

Activity: Traffic delays

Reason: On Tuesday, August 3, from 7:00 a.m. until mid-afternoon, there may be significant traffic delays on Pearl Street in front of McDonald’s due to the installation of street lighting on both sides of the road. Two-way traffic will be maintained, but motorists should plan for delays.

Activity: Exit ramp work

Reason: Work to improve the Exit 15 northbound ramp on Interstate 89 in Winooski may cause traffic delays. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes if possible.

Activity: 

Reason: Drivers should be aware of construction activity near the Exit 14W northbound ramp.

Activity: Periodic lane closures

Reason: Sidewalk construction on Route 15 from Lawrence Heights to Griswold Street will cause periodic lane closures through September.

Activity: One lane travel

Reason: Beginning August 2, construction of the West Milton Road near the Lamoille River will reduce traffic to one lane. Traffic control will be present, and this project is expected to last until the end of August.

Activity: Traffic delays

Reason: Traffic on White Street from Airport Parkway to the Williston Road will be delayed due to work on a water line. Traffic will be maintained, but motorists should expect delays and avoid the area if possible. This project should be completed by mid-week.

Activity: 

Reason: Motorists should be aware of construction vehicles entering and leaving the main entrance to the Holiday Inn on the Williston Road during the day.

Activity: Lane closures

Reason: Road construction on San Remo Drive will reduce traffic to one lane.

Activity: 

Reason: On Tuesday, August 3, beginning at 6:00 p.m. there will be no westbound traffic on Kennedy Drive from Kimball Street to the South Burlington High School due to the National Night Out parade. As the parade passes each section of Kennedy Drive, the westbound lane will open back up to traffic. The parade will finish no later than 7:00 p.m. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes during that time.

Activity: 

Reason: Pleasant Valley Road from Mountain Road to New Road will be closed to ALL traffic through August 3, 2010. It will reopen on Wednesday August 4, 2010. The road will NOT reopen at night in order to complete the reconstruction of the road faster and more efficiently. Alternate routes include Irish Settlement or Lower Valley Road to Route 15 in Cambridge.

Activity: Lane closures

Reason: Roadwork in Westford Village proceeding to the intersection of Vermont Routes 128 and 104 will cause lane closures and short traffic delays. Traffic flow will be maintained with traffic control present. Motorists should use extreme caution while traveling through the work zone. This project is expected to be completed by September 12.

Activity: 

Reason: From Monday through Thursday, Woods Hollow Road will be closed to all traffic between Phelps Road and Chapin Road for road reconstruction between 6:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Activity: 

Reason: On Thursday and Friday, Route 15 eastbound and westbound travel from Lime Kiln Road to Exit 15 will be reduced to one lane. Motorists may experience traffic delays.
