Activity: One lane travel, traffic delays

Reason: There will be paving on West Lakeshore Drive between Prim Road and East Lakeshore Drive on Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 pm to 6:00 a.m. Traffic will be reduced to one lane at times and traffic control will be present.

Activity: lane closures, minor traffic delays

Reason: Water line repairs on Route 15 will cause lane closures on Monday between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. eastbound near Fletcher Allen Hospital, on Tuesday between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. westbound near Lime Kiln Road, and on Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. westbound near the entrance to St. Michael’s College.

Activity: minor traffic delays

Reason: On Saturday, July 26, paving on Blakely Road near the Severance Corner intersection may cause minor delays in the morning.

Activity: Motorists be alert! Short traffic delays.

Reason: Line stenciling, road patching, mowing, sweeping and bridge washing will occur along all county roads.

Activity: Lane closures, minor traffic delays

Reason: Signal installation at the intersection of Susie Wilson and David Drive will cause occasional lane closures and minor delays through October.

Activity: Minor traffic delays

Reason: There will be minor traffic delays on Route 15 between Saybrook and Sunset Road for the next two weeks due to the installation of a gravel path on the east side of the road.

Activity: Traffic delays and lane closures.

Reason: Work on the Essex Junction Five Corners’ Redevelopment Project will cause traffic delays weekdays between 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Five Corners intersection. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times with occasional lane closures except between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. This project is expected to continue through August.

Activity: Road closures

Reason: On Saturday, July 19 from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m., Railroad Avenue and Lincoln Place will be closed for the Essex Junction Block Party and Street Dance. No vehicles will be permitted on these streets during this time frame. The intersection of Railroad Avenue and Main Street will be closed overnight until the tent is removed by 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 20.

Activity: Heavy traffic

Reason: On Monday, July 21, traffic in the Five Corners’ area will be heavy in the evening due to motorists traveling to the Elton John concert at the Champlain Valley Fairgrounds.

Activity: Lane closures, traffic delays

Reason: Night work on southbound and northbound I-89 between Richmond and Colchester continues. Work will be done Sunday through Thursday between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. with occasional Friday night work when necessary. Exit ramp work at Exits 14 East and West continues, but the ramps will remain open for traffic at all times. Motorists should expect traffic delays due to alternate lane closures and use extreme caution while driving in the work zone. This projected is expected to continue through October.

Activity: Road closure, detour

Reason: Manley Road will be closed for construction between James Drive and Smith Road on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Only residents and emergency vehicles will be allowed to travel Manley Road during this construction. Motorists are urged to use Hibbard Road as an alternate route.

Reason: Cherry Street will be closed for construction on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Only residents and emergency vehicles will be allowed to travel Cherry Street during this construction. Motorists are urged to use Barnum Street or Main Street as alternate routes.

Activity: Bridge traffic reduced to one lane.

Reason: The Bridge Street Iron Truss Bridge over the Winooski River is reduced to alternating one lane traffic controlled by traffic lights. The detour route for overweight vehicles is US 2 and Cochran Road.

Activity: Lane closures, traffic delays

Reason: Beginning Sunday, July 19, there will be night time road construction on for the next two weeks on Dorset Street from the intersection of Williston Road to the intersection of Kennedy Drive. Work will be done between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., but there may be traffic delays. Traffic control will be present, and drivers may want to seek alternate routes.
